Registration Under Way for Duluth Spring Activities

The weather may be nippy outside in January, but people can still register for City of Duluth activities that take place in the spring.

Such sports as Backyard Baseball (for youths age 4-5) and Co-Ed Business League Kickball (age 21-up) will take place at Bunten Road Park.

In Backyard Baseball (March 15-May 10), players will learn basics of throwing, catching, fielding, batting, and baserunning. Then they will use what they have learned in non-competitive games, according to a city news release. Parents are encouraged to participate in coaching, and will receive training and assistance from an onsite staff member. Fee is $45 for City of Duluth residents, $60 for nonresidents.

Adult Co-Ed Kickball (March 2-May 4) will take place on Sunday afternoons. Team fee is $200 if 70 percent of players are City of Duluth residents, and $250 for nonresidents
