Survivalist And Avid Fisherman Missing For Over 2 Weeks: Police

DULUTH, GA — A Duluth man described as an avid fisherman and survivalist has been missing for more than two weeks, and authorities are asking the public for help finding him. The Gwinnett County Police Department said Michael Zielazienski left his home on Lakeshore Drive on Aug. 7 and has not been seen since.

Zielazienski, 51, recently moved back to the United States after living in Switzerland and left his cell phone, money, and all forms of identification behind. He is an avid fisherman and survivalist.

Police said Zielazienski does not own a vehicle and could be on foot in the area around Berkley Lake.

He is described as 5’11" tall and weighs 200 pounds. Zielazienski has brown hair and brown eyes.

Authorities do not know what clothing he was wearing when he left home.
