Victim Of Fatal Shooting At Duluth Gas Station Identified

The victim has been identified as Jamun El Winslow, 20, of Lawrenceville. Detectives continue to investigate the case.

DULUTH, GA—The Gwinnett County Police Department has identified the victim of Wednesday night's fatal shooting at a Duluth gas station. He is Jamun El Winslow, 20, of Lawrenceville.

Shortly after 10 p.m., officers say they were dispatched to "a person shot" call at the Shell Gas Station, which is located at 1515 Pleasant Hill Road in unincorporated Duluth.

Police say they were unable to locate a victim in that parking lot. Concerned for the victim’s safety, officers say they began to canvass the area.

Winslow, the victim, was ultimately located in front of the apartments at 3740 Club Drive, just a short distance away. His vehicle vehicle, a silver passenger car, was disabled in the roadway from a possible accident, police say.

Officers say they approached the vehicle and located the victim deceased inside.
