Burglary Crew Brothers Arrested In Dunwoody: Police

Police say the men, who were robbing a Starbucks, may be responsible for as many as 38 local burglaries.

DUNWOODY, GA — Two brothers who police say may be responsible for as many as 38 burglaries in Gwinnett and DeKalb counties have been arrested after they broke into a local Starbucks, police say.

At 3:24 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 6, Dunwoody Police officers were sent to a burglary call at the Starbucks, at 4441 Ashford Dunwoody Rd. A security company reported that two men had been spotted crawling on the floor near the coffee shop's safe.

An officer heard someone running through the woods toward a nearby hotel, according to the police department. When other officers arrived, they saw two men coming out of the woods. Both ran when they saw the police.

With the help of police dogs from the Doraville Police Department, police say they were able to capture Quadir T. Johnson, 28. The second alleged burglar was not caught at the time.

As investigators began trying to identify the second man, they say they realized that the pair may be responsible for 37 other burglaries of businesses in metro Atlanta. Working with police in Gwinnett and DeKalb counties, they say they were able to identify the second man as Jahmsid N. Johnson, 25 — Quadir Johnson's brother.

On Thursday, Dunwoody Police and officers from DeKalb County Police found Jahmsid Johnson and arrested him at an apartment in Decatur. Both men are charged with multiple felonies in the case, police said.
