Cowart Family YMCA to host Mission Miller 5K
Registration for the race, which benefits children and families in the community, is still open.

DUNWOODY — The Cowart Family YMCA will host its annual, Mission Miler 5K, this Saturday, November 3, 2018, at 8 a.m at Blackburn Park. Proceeds from the race will go to the WHY IT MATTERS annual campaign. Gifts to the campaign provide scholarships to children, adults and families— part of the YMCA's mission to ensure no one is turned away from the YMCA due to their inability to pay.

"The Cowart Family YMCA is proud to host the third annual, Mission Miler 5K and provide additional opportunities to help families attend our Y and enjoy our programs" said Jared Guyer, membership director for the Cowart Family YMCA. "When someone participates in this race, they commit to sending a child to camp, ensuring a teen can receive mentorship, and ultimately strengthening our communities by building up our future leaders."

In addition to the 5K, the race will include a 50 Yard Dash and 1 Mile Fun Run. To register or for more information, visit https://www.ymcaatlanta.org/mission-miler/ or The Big Peach Running Co. in Brookhaven. Registration opens on race day at 7:00 a.m.
