Donald Trump's Georgia Campaign Manager Resigns

A local TV station confronted Brandon Phillips about criminal trespassing charges in 2008.

DUNWOODY, GA — Brandon Phillips, Donald Trump's Georgia campaign director, has resigned after being questioned by a local TV station about criminal trespassing charges dating back to 2008.

Court records obtained by WSB-TV show Phillips pleaded guilty to the charges after admitting he destroyed a laptop and slashed another person’s tires in Bibb County. He was sentenced to three years on probation and ordered to pay $1,500 in restitution.

Phillips was also arrested in Atlanta in 2008 after an altercation with a neighbor that reportedly involved a gun, according to the station.

Phillips is being replaced by Billy Kirkland, a former aide to U.S. Sen. David Perdue.

Trump's Georgia campaign offices are headquartered in Dunwoody.
