Drop off Unwanted Prescription Drugs at Dunwoody PD, Saturday

Bring your medications for disposal to Dunwoody Police Headquarters at 41 Perimeter Center East, Suite 100, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.

On Saturday, folks will have the seventh opportunity in three years to rid their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs. 

The Dunwoody Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration will present "Drug Take Back Day." Bring your medications for disposal to Dunwoody Police Headquarters at 41 Perimeter Center East, Suite 100, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked. 

No needles/sharps, syringes with needles, thermometers, IV bags, bloody or infectious waste, personal care products, empty containers, inhalers, medical equipment and hydrogen peroxide, are accepted.

Last April, Georgians turned in 12,605 pounds of unwanted or expired medications. In September, 2012, which yielded 8,233 pounds was turned in.
