A proposed slip lane off Ga. 400 will benefit nearly 8,000 jobs coming to the Perimeter, said Yvonne Williams, CEO and president of the Perimeter Community Improvement Districts.
Last week, Sandy Springs City Council approved support for the Perimeter area slip lane - a dedicated lane - that runs adjacent to Abernathy from the Ga. 400 south exit onto Glenlake Parkway
Williams gained approval from the Council for a letter of support to the Georgia Transportation Infrastructure Bank for a $1.5 million grant for the slip lane. The PCIDs will put up $700,000, Williams said.

“This is a very critical interchange, as you all know, with all of the jobs coming in,” Williams said. She anticipates 6,000 State Farm jobs coming into the Perimeter area and nearby.
Perimeter offices will be located at Hammond Drive and Perimeter Center Parkway, according to a Dunwoody Crier story.

“And you’ve got AirWatch [that] already announced 2,000...by 2014. And that’s right at the Abernathy area,” Williams said.
