Dunwoody Municipal Court Holds Amnesty Program To Settle Fines

Dunwoody's court will offer amnesty throughout August 2018 for people to settle past due traffic citations or active bench warrants.

DUNWOODY, GA — The City of Dunwoody Municipal Court is holding an amnesty program for the month of August so people can settle past-due traffic citations and/or active bench warrants for failing to appear in court. The incentive of the program is to promote lawful driving privileges, settle outstanding violations with the court and reduce arrests, the city said in a news release.

Amnesty will run in August 2018 at the Dunwoody Municipal Court, 4800 Ashford Dunwoody Road. Individuals may walk-in to the Municipal Court on Mondays, Tuesday, Thursdays or Fridays between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. only, no exceptions.

During that time, anyone who pays their fines in full will have all contempt fees forgiven. If the offense(s) require a court appearance, the defendant will be given a court date to appear before a judge and all warrants will be cleared and warrant fees forgiven.
