Dunwoody Native Ryan Seacrest, Braves Partner Up For Children

Partnership with foundation will push programs in children's hospitals around U.S.

DUNWOODY, GA -- One of the biggest celebrities on TV and radio is partnering with the Atlanta Braves on youth programs and education-focused initiatives in children's hospitals around the country.

The Ryan Seacreast Foundation and the Braves will collaborate on programs and activities at medical centers such as Children's Healthcare of Atlanta as well as at SunTrust Park.

Seacrest, a Dunwoody native, will lend his voice to the Braves' "Welcome Home" media campaign.

"Like the Braves, Ryan Seacrest has Atlanta roots which is what makes this such a natural partnership," Derek Schiller, president, business for the Atlanta Braves, said in a statement. "All of Atlanta is proud of Ryan's success, and we are excited to support the meaningful work The Ryan Seacrest Foundation does here in our city, as well as nationwide."

The Braves are rolling out several entertainment initiatives in their inaugural season at SunTrust Park. The adjacent development, The Battery, is also getting in on the fun with family-friendly entertainment next to residential housing.

"My entire family is delighted that we were able to create this meaningful partnership with the Atlanta Braves," said Seacreast Foundation Executive Director Meredith Seacrest was quoted as saying. "Our work at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta and at other pediatric hospitals across the country wouldn't be possible without partnerships like the one we have with the Braves - we are so grateful."
