Dunwoody Unemployment Rate Falls in April

More than 1,500 people remain officially unemployed in Dunwoody, according to new Georgia Department of Labor statistics released Thursday morning.


Dunwoody's unemployment rate fell from 6 percent in March to 5.9 percent in April, according to figures released Thursday morning by the Georgia Department of Labor.

A total of 1,506 people remain officially unemployed in the city, compared to 1,521 in March.

The Labor Department says Dunwoody's labor force is made up of 25,606 people, with 24,100 of them are employed.

Statistics also show that Dunwoody's unemployment rate in April 2012 was 6 percent.
