Dunwoody Votes: Precinct-by-Precinct Results in the Presidential Race

Hillary Clinton didn't win Georgia, but she won the Dunwoody area vote. Here is the precinct-by-precinct breakdown.

DUNWOODY, GA — Voters in the Dunwoody narrowly supported Democrat Hillary Clinton in Tuesday's election. Republican Donald Trump won the race nationally and is the president-elect.

Trump won a majority of the Dunwoody-area precincts, including Austin, Dunwoody High, Dunwoody Library, Kingsley Elementary, Mount Vernon East, Mt. Vernon West and Tilly Mill Road. But his total votes was at 9,734, short of Clinton's 10,882.

Clinton easily won across DeKalb County, with more than 250,000 votes — 80 percent of those cast. Trump won the state of Georgia, but the race wasn't called until late into the night.

In the weeks before the election, Georgia appeared to be a potential target for Democrats. Clinton did outperform Obama in 2012 in DeKalb County: the president only received 78 percent support four years ago. There were more than 5,000 additional DeKalb voters in 2012, and Trump lost more 13,000 of the votes Romney secured in the county four years ago.
