Dunwoody's Portico Global Cuisine Part Of Taste Of France

ATLANTA -- The French Consulate General in Atlanta announces the launch of Goût de France/Good France 2019, a “Taste of France” global dining event in which restaurants across Atlanta and the U.S. Southeast will celebrate French gastronomy by offering a four-course prix fixe French menu plus French wine on Thursday, March 21. Dunwoody's Portico Global Cuisine, located inside Le Meridien Atlanta Perimeter, will be participating, with Chef Alejandro Rojas having created a sustainable, locally-sourced menu.

Goût de France 2019 is centered on two themes: sustainable dining and the Provence region of France. Participating restaurants will feature ingredients, entire plates and even whole meals that focus on socially and environmentally responsible cuisine while also highlighting the many culinary delights of the Provence region, from bouillabaisse to ratatouille, aioli, daube, tapenade, fromage de chèvre, salade niçoise, pissaladière, tarte tropézienne and more.

The annual night, which is in its fifth year, is held on all five continents and includes thousands of restaurants and hundreds of thousands of diners. Restaurants in more than 130 countries will participate.

This year, the consulate will host its annual dinner at The Brasserie at Bazati, located on the Atlanta BeltLine’s Eastside Trail in the city’s Inman Park neighborhood. The public is invited to reserve a table. Executive Chef Rémi Granger of Blois, France will prepare a menu of petit farcis; branzino with ratatouille; marinated goat cheese in olive oil and herbs; and lemon tart with meringue. The meal will be accompanied by French Champagne and wine.

Other participating Atlanta restaurants that will offer a Goût de France dinner include: AG, Anis Café and Bistro, and Atmosphère.
