Election 2015: Shortal Becomes New Dunwoody Mayor

Dunwoody has a new mayor.

Denis Shortal defeated incumbent Mike Davis Tuesday night to become the city’s new chief executive officer.

Also, Terry Nall won reelection to the Dunwoody City Council, beating back a challenge from Becky Springer.

DeKalb voters also overwhelmingly approved an overhaul of the county’s ethics regulations, while Tucker voters chose to become DeKalb’s newest city.

A bid to create what would have become DeKalb’s largest city, Lavista Hills, fell short.
