Four Dunwoody Businesses Cited For Selling Alcohol To Minors

Police recently conducted an undercover, underage alcohol sales sting.

DUNWOODY, GA — Local police and state revenue agents recently cited four Dunwoody businesses for selling alcohol to minors. A total of 13 businesses were checked in the undercover operation, and these four were cited:

  • Perimeter Bottle Shop, 4719 Ashford Dunwoody Road
  • Dunwoody Beverage, 1418 Dunwoody Village Parkway
  • Mini Food Mart, 6890 Peachtree Industrial Blvd
  • BP, 4368 N. Peachtree Road

Nine businesses were found to be in compliance:

  • Total Wine, 124 Perimeter Center West
  • Exxon, 77 Perimeter Center East
  • BP, 5418 Chamblee Dunwoody Road
  • Chevron, 5465 Chamblee Dunwoody Road
  • Chevron, 4249 Dunwoody Club Drive
  • Shell, 5020 Winters Chapel Road
  • Chevron, 6900 Peachtree Industrial Blvd
  • Dunwoody Food Mart, 4639 N Shallowford Road
  • Shell, 4479 Chamblee Dunwoody Road.

The individuals who sold alcohol to underage individuals were cited and released. They also face sanctions from the Georgia Department of Revenue.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, excessive drinking contributes to more than 4,300 deaths among people below the age of 21 in the United States each year. The Dunwoody Police Department said it regularly uses alcohol sales compliance checks in our efforts to reduce underage drinking.
