Late Night Hike at Dunwoody Nature Center
An evening hike followed by hot chocolate, stargazing and a warm fire is free for the whole family.

While the Dunwoody Nature Center usually closes at sundown, this fall visitors have the rare chance to connect with nature after-hours, allowing for a completely different sensory experience as the nocturnal animals take over.
We’ll gather for our hike starting at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 24, and return to the meadow around 8:30 p.m. followed by cocoa, stargazing, and a warming fire. If you have any questions, contact the program office at (770) 394-3322.
The leisurely, family oriented hikes will follow trails around the wetlands and back forests of Dunwoody Park. Under the light of the stars and armed with flashlights, Nature Center educators will guide groups through the hike, offering a chance to hear the night time sounds of owls, bats, and other nocturnal creatures as well as the gentle flow of Wildcat Creek.
