It may not be able to show you the world, but the Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta’s Jerry’s Habima Theatre can show you a shining, shimmering and splendid performance of Disney’s Aladdin Jr. in celebration of the theatre’s 22nd anniversary.
Jerry’s Habima Theatre, a program of the MJCCA’s Blonder Family Department for Special Needs, is Georgia’s only theatrical company directed and produced by professionals that feature actors with special needs.
“The participants of this special theater company achieve new levels of self-confidence, motivation, and socialization from the intensive, three-month process of rehearsals and performances,” said Lowell Fine, chair of The Blonder Family Department for Special Needs. “This unique program provides a wonderful opportunity for developing new skills through a meaningful theater experience.”
