
Dunwoody police are reporting that one of two victims from Sunday morning's I-285 car crash has died.
"Evelyn P. Ngoboworigha died from the injuries she sustained in the accident that occurred early Sunday morning," according to a statement from police. The other victim in the accident, Stroyer Butler, remains in critical condition at Grady Memorial Hospital.
The accident occurred around 2:15 on Feb. 24 at I-285 and Chamblee Dunwoody Road, when a Chevy Tahoe struck a Mercury Grand Marquis. Police said the Tahoe's driver, Francisco Rodriguez-Vazquez, fled the scene on foot after the crash but was located in the immediate area by police shortly after the collision.

Both Ngoboworigha and Butler were in the Grand Marquis.
Police said Rodriguez-Vazquez has been charged with homicide by vehicle; serious injury by vehicle; hit & run; DUI; reckless driving; driving while unlicensed, and obstruction.
