Police Catch Armed Robbery Suspect

Dunwoody police have apprehended a suspect who allegedly robbed the Ashford-Dunwoody Walmart on Thursday morning.

Police responded to the armed robbery call at about 8:40 am.

"Within 15 minutes of receiving the call, officers were able to track and apprehend a suspect found lying within an adjacent wooded area with several items from the robbery still in his possession, including a handgun, wig, and money stolen from Walmart," according to the department's Facebook page.

The suspect has been identified as Alphonzo Eddy, 29, East Point, GA. He has been charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during a crime, and theft by taking.
