Three Authors to Appear at Dunwoody Community Center

The Page From the Book Festival brings authors of "The Red Tent" and the Tess Monaghan series, as well as The Atlantic editor, to Dunwoody.

This winter the Marcus Jewish Community Center in Dunwoody will host three sought-after authors as a part of its Page From the Book Festival: Anita Diamant, presenting The Boston Girl; Scott Stossel, presenting My Age of Anxiety; and Laura Lippman, presenting Hush Hush.

The authors will discuss their newest work and answer questions from the audience. A signing will follow each event and books will be available for sale from A Cappella Books.

Diamant’s The Boston Girl tells the tale of a young Jewish woman in early 20th century Boston, growing up amongst historic moments like World War I, the flu epidemic and Margaret Sanger’s crusade to legalize birth control.

My Age of Anxiety: Fear, Hope, Dread, and the Search for Peace of Mind explores the history of anxiety as it became a diagnostic condition. Stossel reflects on his own struggles with the illness, as well as the experiences of the many individuals who have also suffered from anxiety, some of whom have found ways to manage it.

The next installment in the Tess Monaghan series, Lippman’s Hush Hush, is an enthralling work of mystery fiction that involves “a disturbing murder and a manipulative mother.”
