Three Behind Bars In Decatur Stabbing Death

The trio faces murder charges after allegedly stabbing the victim over 30 times at an apartment in Decatur, says DeKalb Sheriff's Office.

DECATUR, GA — Investigators with the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Unit arrested two people Wednesday on murder charges stemming from the June 28 stabbing death of a Decatur man, the sheriff's office said. Investigators had previously arrested a Marietta man on July 10 in the same case.

Authorities allege that the three individuals stabbed Ronald Thomas-Roach more than 30 times at an apartment on Flat Shoals Road in Decatur. The sheriff's office did not release a motive for the killing.

On Wednesday, the investigators arrested Kessiah A. Rowe, 19, without incident at a business in Dunwoody, the sheriff's office said. On the same day, they arrested Jared Kelvin Smith, 20, at a business in Jonesboro.

Both were taken to the DeKalb County Jail in Decatur. Rowe is from Ellenwood and Smith lives in McDonough.

Riki Ray Albury Jr., 18, of Marietta also is being held at the DeKalb County Jail on a murder charge in the homicide case, the sheriff's office said.
