Dunwoody Teen Featured in BBC Interview on Trump Supporters

Tenth-grader Jack Kerdasha shows that he's incredibly astute when it comes to politics.

DUNWOODY, GA -- A student at Dunwoody High School got a brief taste of international superstardom recently when he was featured in an interview by the British Broadcasting Corp (BBC).

Jack Kerdasha, sophomore class president, spoke to the BBC's "Newsround" TV show while he was in Washington, D.C. for President Trump's inauguration.

"Newsround" is a show aimed at middle and high school students. The segment was on teens' differing views on Trump. Jack gave thorough and nuanced answers, showing that he is fully abreast of the nation's politics.

"I'm excited for his presidency," Jack said when asked about Trump. "I think when he gets in there, it's down to business day one."

Jack was right on the money with that one. Trump has been in office a little more than a week and has issued several executive orders, including unprecedented legislation on immigration.

"Newround" is one of the world's first television news magazines specifically targeted toward younger viewers. It has been on the air continuously since 1972.
