Atlanta Arts Festival: Day One
Here's everything you need to know about the 9th annual event this weekend at Piedmont Park.
The 9th Annual Atlanta Arts Festival is a professionally-juried fine arts event set for this weekend, Oct. 24-25, at Piedmont Park.
Ranked among the Top 100 Fine Art & Design Shows in the country and recently awarded “Best Overall” by Sunshine Artist magazine for its 2013 commemorative show poster, the nationally recognized festival brings together outstanding artists from all over the country and will feature 200 of painters, photographers, sculptors, leather and metal craftsmen, glass blowers and more.

Transportation
The nearest MARTA stations are Midtown and Arts Center, both located just a few blocks from Piedmont Park.

Midtown Station
Upon exiting the Midtown Station, take 10th Street (east) towards Peachtree Street and continue on 10th until you reach Piedmont Avenue. Turn left on Piedmont Avenue and walk two blocks to the 12th and 14th Street entrances of Piedmont Park. Enter and proceed through the park towards the Meadow area.
Arts Center Station
Exit the Arts Center Station heading south on West Peachtree street for one block. Head east (left) on 14th Street for three blocks until you reach the 14th Street entrance to Piedmont Park. Enter and proceed through the park towards the Meadow area.
Bus - Routes 27
MARTA bus Route 27 (Lindbergh Station / Cheshire Bridge & Piedmont / Piedmont-Monroe / Midtown Station) runs by Piedmont Park. Click the route links above or below to get maps and bus schedules from the MARTA web site. For additional information call MARTA at 404-848-4711.
By Bike / On Foot:
Piedmont Park entrances open to pedestrians and cyclists include:
- Park Drive Bridge (access Park Drive from Monroe Drive)
10th Street & Charles Allen - Piedmont Avenue and 12th Street
- Piedmont Avenue and 14th Street
Please note that bicycles will not be allowed into the festival areas. Bike racks (self serve and unattended) will be available at the festival entrances for your use.

Enter the deck off of Peachtree Place which runs between Peachtree St and Juniper Street one block south of 10th Street
FREE SHUTTLE for parkers at 999 Peachtree to the Park and back during festival hours - Sage Parking Facility
The SAGE Parking Facility is open. The parking facility is operated by the Atlanta Botanical Garden, and is available for visitors to Piedmont Park and the Garden. Local arts and cultural organizations have the opportunity to distribute information about their organizations and activities. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about cultural events and organizations in Atlanta.

Canvas by U!
Canvas by U is an adult art class. We teach our guests how to complete a painting in one session. By the end of class, you have your own masterpiece to take home! Classes are taught step-by-step, and we supply everything you need for class. No prior art experience necessary. Class fee is $20.00.
11:30am - 5pm
Art of Cooking Stage
Enjoy cooking demonstrations throughout the day on the all-new Art of Cooking stage. Have a seat, relax and learn how top chefs create their specialties. Chefs will be representing several local restaurants and Barefoot Wine.
10am - 5:30pm
Creation Station
Artist demonstrations, hands on and collaborative activities, and educational sessions.

Lil’ Artist Alley
Lil’ Artist Alley is an area for the kids to enjoy special hands on activities and live performances! There will be arts and crafts, face painting, balloon sculpting, sand art, fair hair and more..
