Atlanta Streets Alive Will Close Some Local Roads

The Old Fourth Ward will be one of the neighborhoods impacted by Sunday’s Atlanta Streets Alive event.

The event runs from 2-6 pm, as a 4.5-mile loop on Highland, North Avenue, Boulevard and North Highland Avenue are opened to people on foot and bike, and closed to motorized traffic. The route will connect Virginia Highland, Poncey-Highland, Inman Park, Old Fourth Ward, and Atkins Park.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • Monroe/Boulevard south bound traffic will be directed west at North Ave intersection for detour
  • North Ave west bound traffic will be directed north on Seminole for detour
  • Elizabeth St crossing N. Highland will be exit only
  • Boulevard north bound traffic will be directed east on Highland Ave at Highland intersection for detour
