Dozens Lining Up Outside New East Atlanta Chick-fil-A
The restaurant opens Thursday morning at 6 am, and people are lining up for their chance at a year's worth of free food.
ATLANTA, GA -- Dozens of people began lining up overnight outside East Atlanta's new Chick-fil-A for their chance at winning a year's worth of free food.
The restaurant opens at 6 am on Thursday, June 9, and as is the franchise's tradition, the first 100 eligible adults through the door will win free Chick-fil-A for a year.
A Chick-fil-A spokesperson tells Patch they are registering everyone this morning. Chick-fil-A is providing security, restroom access, games, entertainment, a DJ dance party this evening and plenty of food. They'll continue registering participants until we have 100 (plus 10 alternates).

In addition, franchise owner Jamerian Myles is collecting new and slightly used children’s books at the new restaurant from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday to benefit East Atlanta Kids Club.
The new restaurant is built to LEED certification specifications and features the chain’s latest interior and kitchen design. It includes seating for 100 inside the dining room with an additional 20 outdoor patio seats.

The restaurant is located at 401 Bill Kennedy Way in the Glenwood Place retail center in Glenwood Park. A total of 90 new jobs are associated with the store.
