E.A. Security Patrol Issues Warning

The East Atlanta Security Patrol is asking residents to use extra caution in the wake of several recent armed robbery attempts.

“Since late last week, numerous reports have been coming in of armed robberies in our vicinity,” the group says on its website. “This includes attempts in the 800 block of Gresham just outside the Atlanta city limits, and one on Lakeview East Drive, as well as several more in Ormewood Park.

“They may be targeting people driving up to residences after dark, so please be extremely certain that you aren’t followed home or that no one is lurking near where you park your car.”

The organization is asking people to call if they see suspicious activity, such as cars driving slowly or circling a neighborhood.

“If you have any concerns about your safety, drive to a safe place, call 911, then call the East Atlanta Security Patrol at 404-954-1568,” the advisory said.
