Krog Street Market to Open in Inman Park

Project slated to open in June.

INMAN PARK — The site of Tyler Perry's former soundstages off Krog Street will be redeveloped into the Krog Street Market, its new owners said.

The development is part of an overall $70 million project for a nine-acre site bounded by Edgewood Avenue, Irwin Street/Lake Avenue and the Atlanta BeltLine, Paces Properties told Atlanta INtown.

Paces Properties purchased the site, which includes Rathbun’s and Krog Bar, last year.

George Banks, a Paces Properties vice president, told Atlanta INtown, the market is to be comprised of all local tenants, not national chains.

The market is to be a 6,000-square-foot indoor facility at the former soundstages, Atlanta INtown reported.

“We’re actively seeking local restaurateurs and local farmers to make this space truly a neighborhood market," Banks told the newspaper.

Atlanta INtown reported the project already has leases with two restaurants.

The market is expected to open in June and has a completion date of November.
