Lights, Camera, Take Action on MS Event with Actress Madeleine Stowe
Madeleine Stowe is coming to the Atlanta on Sat. June 27th to host a free event for people living with MS and their families.
As part of a national program called “Lights, Camera, Take Action on MS,” Madeleine Stowe is coming to the Atlanta Marriott Alpharetta on Sat. June 27th to host a free event for people living with MS and their families. Madeleine teamed up with Genzyme on this program because as a young girl, she cared for and watched her father suffer from many of the debilitating symptoms of MS – he eventually passed away from complications with the disease.
Madeleine will be working directly with Dr. Ben Thrower, the medical director at Multiple Sclerosis Institute at Shepherd, as well as with a lifestyle expert. The goal of the event is to raise awareness of how to take action on MS, helping people learn more about topics ranging from managing stress to the physical and emotional aspects of living with the disease. Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet Madeleine, hear more about her story and learn from MS experts.
