Ms. Betty's House of Ribs Scores a '58' in Restaurant Inspection

EAST ATLANTA — It hasn't been a good few months of late for Ms. Betty's House of Ribs.

The restaurant, considered one of the best rib shacks in the city, was closed temporarily because of a fire.

It recently reopened but has some new woes with which to contend: It received a 58 on its most recent health inspection report.

The eatery at 1281 Bouldercrest Dr. was cited for 13 violations, including:

• Proper eating, tasting, drinking, or tobacco use
• Food-contact surfaces; cleaned & sanitized
  
• Plumbing installed; proper backflow devices
  
• Toxic substances properly identified, stored, used
  

The score is a steep drop from its last inspection on Sept. 6, 2012, where it received an 89.
