New Life for Old Howard High School?

Atlanta school superintendent Meria Carstarphen is expected to announce plans this week.

Howard High School -- where Martin Luther King Jr. once attended classes but vacant since 1976 -- could be up for a $30-million renovation.

APS Superintendent Meria Carstarphen is expected to present her final proposal for the circa-1924, Old Fourth Ward building on Thursday, reports Curbed Atlanta.

The AJC reports, it’s possible that Howard could be used for middle school students, while overcrowded Inman Middle School could become an elementary.
