Hundreds of people spent the night in its parking lot for their chance to win a year's worth of free Chick-fil-A.
Atlanta, GA -- East Atlanta's new Chick-fil-A opened Thursday morning as a tent city sprung up in the restaurant's parking lot more than 24 hours before its grand opening.
Hundreds of people camped out overnight for their chance to be among 100 people eligible to win a year's worth of free Chick-fil-A.
Franchise owner Jamerian Myles also collected new and slightly used children’s books to benefit East Atlanta Kids Club.

The new restaurant is built to LEED certification specifications and features the chain’s latest interior and kitchen design. It includes seating for 100 inside the dining room with an additional 20 outdoor patio seats.
The restaurant is located at 401 Bill Kennedy Way in the Glenwood Place retail center in Glenwood Park.

The opening is the third of four in the Atlanta area within about two months, with new locations in Marietta and Peachtree City. A new stand-alone location will open in Griffin, GA, on June 30.
