Planned Krog Street Market Site to Undergo Metamorphosis

INMAN PARK — By the time it's done, Krog Street may be unrecognizable.

For years, some of buildings and and other structures around and off Krog were characterized by rust and decay, barbed wire and graffiti.

That's slated to change as part of the $70 million Krog Street Market redevelopment project Paces Properties has planned for the nine-acre site bounded by Edgewood Avenue, Irwin Street/Lake Avenue and the Atlanta BeltLine.

Paces Properties, which purchased the site last year, expects to complete the project by November.

Plans include construction of a 6,000-square-foot, indoor facility and the goal is to have it be comprised of all local tenants.
