Join the Villages of Carver Family YMCA for the YMCA Days of Service
In celebration of the YMCA of Metro Atlanta's 160 year anniversary, the Y will host the "YMCA Days of Service" event. On September 14-15, the Y will gather 1,600 volunteers for 20 community service projects throughout metro Atlanta. For some projects, children as young as age 5 can volunteer.

Project Open Hand — Friday, September 14 , 8:45 a.m.- 12:30 p.m.
Project Open Hand provides nutrition services for people with critical or chronic illness, disabilities and seniors by offering home-delivered meals and prevention-based comprehensive nutrition care programs. Volunteers will be involved in packing and delivering meals.

In conjunction with Price Middle School in Atlanta, The Villages at Carver Family Y will host a book drive and community festival to provide a more expansive library for the students. The book drive and festival will take place at Luther J. Price Middle School, and will include food, book talks, author signings, music and more! Volunteers will assist with all aspects of this outdoor event, from organizing and collecting books, to greeting guests, assisting with food stations, etc.
