Charles Hubbard, a former police officer with the Auburn Police Department, has been sentenced to federal prison for his role relating to conspiracies to commit extortion, traffic drugs, and commit robbery. Federal prosecutors say Hubbard abused his position to steal from drug traffickers for his own financial gain.
'Who Is America?' Pranks Conservative Activist
Showtime's "Who Is America?" starring comedian Sacha Baron Cohen appeared to have pulled a fast one over a Georgia conservative activist. Sunday's episode of the national comedy show included a skit featuring Jack Staver taking part in training that would detect and thwart so-called violent illegal immigrants from Mexico.

3 Killed When Train Hits Car: Reports
A woman and two teenage girls died Monday when a freight train struck their car at a railroad crossing in South Fulton County, according to media reports. An eyewitness said the car was trying to beat the train when the fatal crash happened.
2 Men Arrested For Selling Meth, Cocaine: Police
Two Cumming men were arrested last week by a new drug task force for selling methamphetamine and cocaine, according to police. Both men are being held in jail with no bond.

Funeral To Be Held Monday For Woman, Grandson Killed In Crash
A funeral service will be held Monday evening for a grandmother and her grandchild who died July 27 in a two-vehicle crash in Adairsville that killed four people in total. The service for Nancy Evans and Andrew Evans, 6, will be held at 7 p.m. July 30 at Lakeside Funeral Home in Woodstock.
