Wednesday is International Walk to School Day
Commuters throughout East Atlanta should be extra alert tomorrow morning.
International Walk to School Day is Wednesday, Oct. 7.
The global event involves communities from more than 40 countries walking and biking to school on the same day.
The event began in 1997 as a one-day occasion, but over time, it has become part of a movement for year-round safe routes to school each October.
