2021 Valedictorians, Salutatorians Named For East Cobb Schools

EAST COBB, GA — The Cobb County School District on Tuesday announced its high-school valedictorians and salutatorians for the 2020-2021 school year.

According to a statement from the district, this year’s valedictorians had an average GPA of about 4.7 across Cobb County, while the salutatorians were close behind with a 4.63 average.

East Cobb valedictorians and salutatorians are:

Kell High School

• Valedictorian: Alaina Westee, Kennesaw State University, biochemistry
• Salutatorian: Riley McClure, University of Georgia, psychology

Lassiter High School

• Valedictorian: Gloria Wu, Georgia Institute of Technology, business administration
• Salutatorian: Malia Trask, Georgia Institute of Technology, aerospace engineering

Pope High School

• Valedictorian: Madeline Maurer, University of Pennsylvania, undecided
• Salutatorian: Gregory Park, Georgia Institute of Technology, undecided

Sprayberry High School

• Valedictorian: Olivia Sternagle, University of Georgia, biology
• Salutatorian: Yousuf Azeem, Georgia Institute of Technology, computer science

Walton High School

• Valedictorian: Grace Yan, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, computer science & brain and cognitive sciences
• Salutatorian: Sheena Lai, Stanford University, undecided

Wheeler High School

• Valedictorian: Mehul Kalia, Georgia Institute of Technology, computer science
• Salutatorian: Manav Shah, Stanford University, humanities
