"A Bit of Broadway" Coming to Southern Poly on Feb. 7

Citizens can join Roswell’s Dance Starz as they bring all the splendor of the stage to audiences during two fun and dynamic performances of “A Bit of Broadway” on Saturday, Feb. 7.
Shows are available at 2:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the Joe Mack Theater on the campus of Southern Polytechnic State University in Marietta.

The Dance Starz will perform much-beloved numbers from “Westside Story,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “Grease,” “Bring in da Noise, Bring in da Funk,” “South Pacific,” “Moonrise Kingdom,” “Oklahoma,” “Dream Girls,” “Pajama Game,” “Mary Poppins,” “A Chorus Line,” “Phantom of the Opera,” “Sound of Music” and “Hairspray.”
Tickets are $12 each and are available at the Physical Activity Center at Roswell Area Park at 10495 Woodstock Road or online.
Offered through Roswell’s Recreation, Parks, Historic and Cultural Affairs Department, Dance Starz provides training in dance technique to performers ages 7-18, and provides an additional outlet for performance. Classes focus on technique, performance, artistry and education.
Roswell Dance Starz are expected to attend classes two to three days a week. Company members get to experience professional workshops/conventions, master classes and a variety of exceptional educational dance opportunities and competition.
