Cobb County July 4th Fireworks: Kennesaw, Marietta, Acworth

KENNESAW, GA — Kennesaw, Marietta and Acworth all have fireworks planned as part of Cobb County's Fourth of July celebrations for 2018.

The celebration in Kennesaw kicks off on Tuesday, July 3, with the City of Kennesaw's Salute to America. The free event runs from 6-10 p.m. and will feature two stages of live music, street entertainment, food vendors kids activities.

Musical performances will include School of Rock-East Cobb, The American Flyers, Fantabulous and Head Games, a Foreigner tribute band. Fireworks are scheduled to begin at 9:30 p.m.

The Salute to America will be held along Main Street in downtown Kennesaw.

In Marietta, the Fourth in the Park celebration kicks off at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 4, in Glover Park. The free event includes a parade, free live concerts, museum tours, arts and crafts show, food, carnival games and a fireworks finale.

The Marietta Freedom Parade, with 110 entries, 2,000 participants and an estimated 30,000 spectators, begins at 10 a.m at Roswell Street Baptist Church. It travels west on Roswell Street, north on East Park Square past Glover Park and the Marietta Square, down Cherokee Street and ends at North Marietta Parkway.

A festival, featuring arts and crafts, carnival games and food and drink vendors, begins in the park as soon as the parade is over. There will be live music at the festival and fireworks are set to begin after dark, probably around 9:30 p.m.

In Acworth, the Fourth of July Celebration features live music performances throughout the afternoon, followed by fireworks. Held in Cauble Park, music begins at 4 p.m. and the fireworks, also set for about 9:30 p.m. will be shot off over Lake Acworth.
