Cobb Household Hazardous Waste Disposal Event Approaching
Residents can get rid of paint, mercury items, car batteries, and other hazardous waste during the event.
Cobb County residents who have hazardous waste that they’d like to dispose of are invited to preregister for an upcoming disposal day hosted by the Cobb County Water System.
Registration for the July 25 event will continue until July 18, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. Materials eligible for disposal include items with mercury in them, cooking oils, oxidizers, chlorinated solvents, auto fluids, lawncare products, and more.
The event will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Jim R. Miller Park.
