Cobb Woman Latest Suspect In Connection With Death Of Cab Driver

An arrest warrant for murder has been issued for a Cobb woman in connection with the death of Rossana Delgado, a Barrow County cab driver.

GEORGIA — Authorities are seeking yet another suspect — this one from Cobb County — in connection with the murder of a woman whose body was found two months ago in a cabin near Ellijay.

An arrest warrant for murder has been issued for Maria Katherine Chavez Encarnacion, 28, of Marietta, according to a statement Friday from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. Encarnacion’s last known location was Mexico. Anyone who sees Encarnacion is asked to call 911 immediately.

Encarnacion is the seventh suspect identified so far by authorities in connection with the death of Rossana Delgado, a cab driver from Barrow County whose body was discovered on April 20.

Three suspects — Megan Colone of Stone Mountain, and Oscar Manuel Garcia and Juan Antonio Vega, both of Cobb County — were arrested in Mexico on May 15. Four other suspects — Juan Ayala-Rodriguez of Gainesville, Georgia; Mario Alberto Barbosa-Juarez and Carolina Jazmin Rodriguez-Ramirez, both of Oklahoma; and Encarnacion — are still at large.
