Driver Charged In Fatal Car Crash In East Cobb
18-year-old Cameron S. Clason was riding his motorcycle when a car fatally struck him in East Cobb, according to police.
EAST COBB, GA—A woman is behind bars and charged in connection with a fatal accident that resulted in a teen being ejected from his motorcycle last month.
Genesis Lugo, 21, has been charged with failure to yield and second degree vehicular homicide. She turned herself into authorities on Wednesday, according to East Cobb News.
On Feb. 24, 18-year-old Cameron S. Clason was riding his black 2009 Suzuki SV650 motorcycle westbound on Alabama Road when he was hit by Lugo's car, a gray 2001 Nissan Altima. According to the Marietta Daily News, she was turning left onto Old Mountain Park Road from Alabama Road eastbound at the time of the accident.

Clason was later pronounced dead at North Fulton Hospital, the newspapers reported.
According to a GoFundMe page set up for the teen, Clason was a senior at River Ridge High School. Friends and family have raised nearly $10,000 to help Clason's family pay for his funeral expenses.
