East Cobb Chapter of National Charity League Holding Membership Drive

The National Charity League, Inc., East Cobb Chapter, a mother-daughter organization, provides hands-on service to philanthropic organizations in the local community.

National Charity League, Inc., East Cobb Chapter (NCL, East Cobb Chapter) will begin accepting applications from prospective members for the 2014-2015 year beginning August 11, 2014. There are a limited number of membership opportunities for the graduating Classes of 2017 and 2018. There are currently no available openings for the Class of 2019 or 2020.

Candidates can obtain an informational packet that includes an organization overview, as well as membership application and dues information by contacting Lynn Lawson at lynn@webretreat.com. All paperwork must be received at the official NCL, East Cobb Chapter address (provided in informational packet) via U.S. Postal Service by 5:00pm on August 22, 2014, to be considered.

The National Charity League, Inc., East Cobb Chapter was founded on July 9, 2013 as the 187th chapter of The National Charity League, Inc. (NCL). After an initial organizational period, it began to fulfil one of its core missions of providing hands-on service to philanthropic organizations in the local community. Since then, members of NCL, East Cobb Chapter contributed over 700 hours to these organizations. Established in Los Angeles, California in 1925, and incorporated in 1958, National Charity League, Inc. is the premier mother-daughter organization, serving women and their daughters in grades 7-12. Through community service, NCL develops socially- responsible community leaders and strengthens the mother-daughter relationship. The traditional NCL program also stresses cultural awareness and experiences. NCL mother-daughter teams nationwide are responsible, dedicated, skilled volunteers actively engaged in local philanthropic work.
