East Cobb Driver Gets Scare on I-95

Kathy Naylor sustained minor injuries in a Connecticut crash that toppled a tanker truck.

An East Cobb woman survived a three-vehicle crash that included an oil tanker truck Wednesday afternoon in Connecticut.

Kathy Naylor, 42, and the other two drivers suffered minor injuries in the collision on northbound Interstate 95 in Groton and were taken to a hospital, The Day reported.

The tanker truck flipped during the crash around 3:15 p.m. and spilled about 1,200 gallons of heating oil, The Day said.

One of the cars burst into flames, but the fire didn’t reach the heating oil or tanker, the Hartford Courant reported.

No charges were reported against any of the drivers, although WTNH-TV reported that police are investigating whether a fourth vehicle caused the accident by cutting off the tanker.
