East Cobb Getting Two New Restaurants
Sage Social Kitchen and Bar is expected to open next month, while Tin Lizzy's is hiring now.
EAST COBB COUNTY, GA — Sage Social Kitchen and Bar is set to open next month in East Cobb.
The new restaurant will sit in the spot that formerly was home to Chequers, according to the AJC, at 1401 Johnson Ferry Road.
This will be the restaurant's third location in metro Atlanta. Sage Woodfire Taverns are located in Alpharetta and Dunwoody.

The new East Cobb location will have more of a focus on tapas, owners said.
Chequers closed in May after 33 years. It first opened in 1983 in Dunwoody on Perimeter Center Way and moved to Johnson Ferry Road in 2014 after State Farm Insurance bought its property in Dunwoody.
