Over 300 homeless Atlanta children will have brand-new pairs of shoes thanks to the generous donations of people who attended a weekend lacrosse game in East Cobb.

The Pope Greyhounds were battling the top-ranked Johns Creek Gladiators on the field on March 18, but in the stands everyone was working together to benefit My Sister’s House, a shelter for homeless women and children attached to the Atlanta Union Mission. As part of the Lace Up for LAX drive, players, families, and fans donated 328 pairs of brand-new children’s shoes to the area’s most vulnerable youngsters.
