East Cobb Man Accused of Murder, Jailed Without Bond: Police

A man with an East Cobb address is charged with murder in connection with the shooting death of his live-in girlfriend, authorities said.

MARIETTA, GA — An East Cobb man is in jail without bond Wednesday, charged with murder after police say he shot his girlfriend in the chest and face at their Goldie Drive home.

Willie Felix Thompson, 62, was arrested without incident Monday evening after Marietta police answered a domestic violence-call at the home he shared with Felicia Sullivan, 50. According to The Marietta Daily Journal, the caller reported a woman shot and the suspect intoxicated inside the house.

The warrant for the incident reported by the Marietta paper said the gun used was a 9mm pistol. Thompson and Sullivan were in a long-term relationship, according to Marietta Police spokesperson Chuck McPhilamy.

Thompson is charged with felony murder and felony aggravated assault. As of Wednesday afternoon, Thompson was in the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, with no attorney of record listed. He had previously been charged in connection with domestic incidents in 2020 and 2015, The Marietta Daily Journal reported.
