I-285 Lane Closures In Cobb, Fulton Counties This Weekend

The GDOT is reminding motorists traveling in the area to reduce their speeds in the work zone.

COBB COUNTY, GA—Georgia Department of Transportation contractors plan to close lane on I-285 southbound in Cobb and Fulton counties each night this weekend to continue bridge preservation activities.

Weather permitting, GDOT officials said two right lanes will be closed on I-285 southbound between Paces Ferry Road and South Atlanta Road, and between South Cobb Drive and Bolton Road each weekend night beginning 9 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 7 through 5 a.m. on Monday.

These closures will provide safety for workers and drivers as crews conduct bridge joint replacements and apply co-polymer overlay to the interstate bridge structures, GDOT officials said.
