In Loving Memory of Martha Lee Brumby, 73

Martha Lee Brumby, 73, of Marietta passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2015, in her home surrounded by family after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, November 2nd at 11:00 am at First United Methodist Church of Marietta with Dr. Sam Matthews officiating.
Martha Lee was born on March 27, 1942 in Hartford, CT to Helen and Eugene Pratt. She graduated from Sarah Gibbs College in Boston, MA in 1962 and worked for Kilpatrick Stockton in Atlanta. In 1968, Martha Lee married Otis A. Brumby, Jr. The two were happily married for 44 years until he passed away in September 2012. She was active in her community and church. She was a member of the Cobb/Marietta Junior League and served on the Altar Guild and funeral committee at her church.
Martha Lee is survived by her five children, Spain Gregory (Scott), Lee Garrett (Heath), Betsy Tarbutton (Ben), Anna Brumby, and Otis A. Brumby III (Ashley); eleven grandchildren, Harry and Helen Gregory; Mattie, Heath and Brumby Garrett; Ben, Annabeth, and Henry Tarbutton; Libby, Margaret, and Otis Brumby IV; brother, William Adams Pratt.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The First United Methodist Church of Marietta or the Alzheimer’s Association of Georgia. Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta will be handling the arrangements. www.mayeswarddobbins.com.
