Man Charged With Multiple Bank Robberies In Cobb County

Police have identified the suspect as 54-year-old Charles Travick. The case has been turned over to the FBI.

COBB COUNTY, GA—A man is behind bars charged in connection with two recent bank robberies in Cobb County.

On Monday around 9:09 a.m., Cobb County police officers responded to a bank robbery at BB&T Bank, which is located at 3620 Tramore Pt. in Austell.

The suspect, identified as 54-year-old Charles Travick, had already fled the scene prior to officers’ arrival, police said.

Two days later shortly before 9:30 a.m., police said they responded to another a bank robbery at Regions Bank, which is located at 1593 Mulkey Road in Precinct Two.

Police said the suspect entered the bank, armed with a handgun and demanded money.

The suspect received an undisclosed amount of money and then fled the scene in a Silver Kia Optima, police said.

A short pursuit began, however, police said they were able to ultimately arrest Travick.

The investigation for both bank robberies has been turned over to the Federal Bureau of Investigations, police said.
