New Performing Arts Center at Pope High School!

The Pope community has been very excited about the opening of new Performing Arts Center and the first production is here - the musical comedy The Addams Family!!

The production is one of 75 high schools entered in the Georgia High School Musical Theatre Awards – Shuler Hensley Awards - which celebrate excellence in Georgia high school musical theater. The Awards are named in honor of actor/singer and Georgia native, Shuler Hensley, winner of the prestigious Tony Award, Outer Critics Circle Award and Drama Desk Award. The "Shulers" embrace a spirit of camaraderie and celebration for the arts in high schools across Georgia with a Tony Awards style award ceremony (televised on GPTV).

Last year the Best Supporting Actor Shuler Award was won by a Pope student and we are ready to compete again with these excellent school theatre programs throughout Georgia!
